I decided to start with our Lviv project. It seems to be long ago when we started it, but when we had been going through all the preparation for it, it seems impossible that there was life after Module 1 at all!
It was the first one I helped to organize starting. It was a pretty challenging start. We hoped to have at least 80 people on Monday, August, 24, but 136 showed up. Some we never heard from before, so some of them are still turning in applications. We were planning to have Ron lead the teaching. He and his wife, Linda, are still in Canada, raising support. But we were blessed to have a local administrative team which provided the best administration we could dream of.
We were anxious a bit when the teaching team entered the class-room that Monday morning. But we were not alone, at 9 am in that room we found 136 people anxious to hear what we had to say and what God would do during that week. He didn’t fail either of us. Well, it’s because He never does when you really wait for Him to act. He worked in the teaching team to give them confidence and courage, clear and comprehensive teaching. As one student commented, “It is such a blessing to see that you are really a team – you support, you encourage each other, you are like one body”.
The students were deeply moved by the teaching. They were challenged to think, to consider the Word, confront their own ideas of counseling, of how people function and changed. God worked in their hearts to bring them to understanding and repentance, to renewed commitment and first steps of a changed person before God.
This is the audience the team had to teach:
During breaks, they simply couldn't stop discussing what they've just heard
